CBRE Hong Kong Appoints Patrick Chau to Lead its Residential Business

CBRE today announced the appointment of Patrick Chau as Executive Director and Head of Residential, Capital Markets, CBRE Hong Kong, effective 9 September 2026.

In this newly created role, Patrick will establish and lead CBRE's luxury residential platform, driving growth in high-value residential advisory and transaction services. His mandate includes building a premium, differentiated business aligned with CBRE's private client and capital markets strategy, strengthening the firm's ability to serve ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), family offices, developers, financial institutions, and cross-border investors. Patrick will lead the luxury residential platform and focus on building a specialized team, supporting the firm's long-term growth ambitions in the sector. He will report to Reeves Yan, Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets, CBRE Hong Kong.   

A luxury residential specialist with 28 years of experience spanning Hong Kong, mainland China, Asia, and the United Kingdom, Patrick is widely recognized as one of Hong Kong's most respected luxury residential advisors. His expertise covers trophy homes, single lots, developer luxury inventory, mortgagee and receiver sales, private wealth advisory, and cross-border investment transactions. Patrick has personally involved in property transactions with a total value exceeding HKD 30 billion, including several of Asia's most notable record-setting transactions at Mount Nicholson, OPUS HONG KONG and 3 Deep Water Bay Road. 

Patrick joins CBRE following a distinguished career that includes 17 years at Savills, where he held senior leadership positions, including Board Member and Senior Director. Throughout his career, he has built deep relationships with developers, banks, receivers, family offices and UHNWIs, and has earned a strong reputation for delivering strategic advice across the luxury residential market.

Beyond his transaction expertise, Patrick brings proven experience in building teams, developing operating platforms and driving sustainable business growth. His stellar track record and market relationships will support CBRE's ambition to establish a leading presence in the luxury residential sector.

Patrick earns a Bachelor of Science in Surveying from the University of Hong Kong.
