Associate Director, Marketing & Communications, Hong Kong
Chau has led the Capital Markets team in Hong Kong as Head of Investment Property & Private Office, Capital Markets, since joining CBRE in 2020.
In his expanded role, Chau will retain his Hong Kong responsibilities while taking on broader regional scope, expanding cross-border capital flows, deepening client relationships across key markets, and growing the Capital Markets platform across Asia, ex-Japan.
“Asia presents significant growth opportunities, and Jonathan is well-placed to capture them. Beyond leading our real estate acquisition and disposition business, he has been instrumental in growing our capital advisory platform,” said Greg Hyland, Head of Capital Markets, APAC, CBRE. “His strong track record, deep regional relationships, and ability to connect capital across borders position him well to deliver for our clients across family offices, private equity firms, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional investors, and to strengthen our platform across Asia.”
“These promotions recognise Jonathan’s significant contributions, leadership, and growing influence on our Capital Markets strategy at both the regional and local levels,” said Ada Fung, Chief Operating Officer, Advisory Services, CBRE Hong Kong. “His resilience across market cycles, and commitment to excellence will help shape the future of our business in an increasingly AI-driven environment. We are confident he will continue to strengthen our market leadership and deliver value for our clients, people, and business.”
Chau will continue to report to Fung, with a matrix reporting line to Hyland.
CBRE’s Capital Markets team in Hong Kong continues to deliver strong results across multiple sectors. In the first half of 2026, the team completed 42 sales transactions, totaling HKD 7.3 billion, with a strong pipeline for the second half of 2026.
