Tai Tam

 Location

Close to the southernmost point of Hong Kong Island, Tai Tam follows the eastern coast between Stanley and the Redhill Peninsula. Tai Tam is close to Stanley and offers waterfront living overlooking the South China Sea.

 Accommodation

Accommodation is predominantly within luxury townhouse developments and apartment blocks, from older low-rise buildings to modern high-rises with extensive recreational facilities, almost all with full sea views. Notable developments include the high-rise Pacific View and The Manhattan, both offering a wide range of apartments with balconies, sea views, and extensive recreational facilities.

 Transport

Larger residential complexes operate a shuttle bus service for residents. There is a public bus service to Stanley (connecting with services to the city) and to Chai Wan (connecting with the MTR.

 Shopping

A wide range of shops and restaurants is available at Stanley, a short drive away from Tai Tam and there is a small shopping complex at the start of the Redhill Peninsula.

 Medical

There are no hospitals in this area, but a doctor¡¯s surgery is located in Redhill Plaza.

 Education

Hong Kong International middle and senior school is situated in Tai Tam (the lower and middle schools are at South Bay). There are some international kindergartens that have been recently opened in Redhill Plaza.

 Recreation

Some of the residential complexes have a pool or more extensive facilities. The American Club is situated on the waterfront, and Tai Tam Reservoir provides several popular walking trails and picnic sites. Nearby, Stanley offers a range of restaurants and bars.
