Location
Victoria Peak is the highest point on Hong Kong Island and has a
correspondingly slightly cooler climate and beautiful green environment. The
Peak has traditionally been the most prestigious and affluent residential area
and remains the first choice of home for many expatriate families. The area has
spectacular views over Victoria Harbour to the north and Deep Water Bay,
Repulse Bay and Pokfulam to the south. During the spring the Peak is often
shrouded in mist and dehumidifiers are essential; however, residents are happy
to put up with this in exchange for cooler less humid weather in the summer.
Accommodation
Properties here mainly comprise of low-rise apartments, town houses and very
large houses, often with gardens and terraces looking out over Hong Kong
Island. The newer complexes have pools, gyms, private parking and security.
Transport
The Peak Tram allows for easy and direct access to Central and used by many of
the local residents to commute to work. There are many public mini-buses and
taxis are plentiful, although most residents have a car.
Shopping
The Peak Galleria complex has seven floors of retail shops, entertainment and
restaurants. There are ATMs, beauty salons and a post office which have
improved the neighbourhood amenities considerably. There are many viewing areas
giving wonderful views of the north and south of Hong Kong Island.
Medical
The Matilda Hospital is located on the Peak and considered to be the top
private hospital in Hong Kong with physiotherapy, maternity, accident and
emergency, operating theatres and The Matilda Child Development Centre catering
for children with special needs.

located on the Peak plus the Woodlands Pre-School. All areas are covered by
school buses.
