Happy Valley

 Location

Famous for its Race Course, Happy Valley is located in the centre of Hong Kong Island, close to Causeway Bay. This is urban living at its best and has become very popular over the last few years with young singles and expatriates without children. Happy Valley never sleeps and is very highly populated. There are many high-rise apartment blocks with westward views over Victoria Harbour and the Racecourse.

 Accommodation

Happy Valley consists of a diverse range of residential units. Located around the racecourse are older and newer style buildings, both high-rise and low-rise. Further up the hill are predominantly high-rise developments, such as Beverly Hill, with open views and a good range of recreational facilities. There is also a choice of serviced apartments in Happy Valley.

 Transport

Public transport is extensive with the tram terminus, and several buses to Central and Causeway Bay providing links to the MTR. Some developments also provide a residents¡¯ shuttle bus service.

 Shopping

Part of Happy Valley¡¯s charm is its village-like atmosphere. There are food and vegetable stalls, many restaurants with international cuisine, two large supermarkets, laundries, dry-cleaners, delicatessens, etc.

 Medical

Within Happy Valley there are several private doctors¡¯ and dentists¡¯ practices, together with a pharmacy, The Adventist Hospital is nearby on Stubbs Road and the Hong Kong Sanitorium and Hospital is on Village Road.

 Education

The French International School and the English Schools¡¯ Foundation¡¯s Bradbury Junior School are located close to Happy Valley and a few pre-schools, including Woodland Montessori, are within easy access.

 Recreation

Recreationally, the centre of the race course has football, hockey and rugby pitches, walking tracks, ovals, and sitting out areas. The Football and Cricket Clubs are nearby and the Urban Services Tennis Centre is also accessible at Wong Nai Chung Gap Road.
