Location
Overlooking the bay and beach, Deep Water Bay is an exclusive low-rise
residential area nestled between Shouson Hill and Repulse Bay. It is not as
developed as Repulse Bay and many of the apartments have stunning views over
the South China Sea or the golf course, and are within walking distance of the
beach.
Accommodation
Properties are low-rise apartments and houses, many of which are set in small
developments with good recreational facilities. Some properties are in older
condition and may be in need of some renovation work.
Transport
With its close proximity to the Aberdeen Tunnel the commute into Central is
about 10 minutes but can take considerably longer during rush hour. Public
light buses are frequent and there are always passing taxis to take you into
central or shopping in nearby Repulse Bay, Aberdeen or Stanley village.
Deepwater Bay is well serviced with KMB buses and public light buses running
throughout the day between Central and Stanley.
Shopping
There are no shopping complexes here but nearby Repulse Bay has an excellent
shopping complex. There is a large Wellcome Supermarket with an in-house bakery
and delicatessen. The shopping centre also has an ATM, chemist, clothing shops,
furniture shops, dry cleaners, post office and a beauty salon. Shouson Hill has
a small shopping centre including a Park¡¯n¡¯Shop supermarket and there is
another supermarket at Hong Kong Parkview, a short drive away.

public hospital is the Queen Mary in Pokfulam.
Education
The area is in the ESF catchments area for Bradbury (junior) and South Island
School (seniors) and the Canadian and Singaporean International schools in

located in Repulse Bay making it a very popular with American families. With-in
the shopping complexes in Repulse Bay there are International kindergartens and
pre-schools.
Recreation
The beach at Deep Water Bay is long and sandy and patrolled by lifeguards; it
can become busy at weekends and holidays, especially around the barbecue area.
The Hong Kong Country Club is to be found at the end of Shouson Hill Road, and
Ocean Park is a stone¡¯s throw away. Middle Island Yacht Club is to the east and
is part of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. Sailing courses are run from here
and open to the public. Wind surfing and water skiing are popular activities on
the weekends. There are many restaurants in Repulse Bay including ¡°The
