Admiralty

 Location

Primarily a business and shopping centre, Admiralty is located between Central and Wanchai. Admiralty is a centre for government offices and departments, including the High Court and the British Consulate.

 Accommodation

The only accommodation to be found within the Admiralty district are the luxury serviced apartment developments at The Atrium and Parkside, both located above Pacific Place. The Island Shangri-La, Conrad and J.W. Marriott hotels are also located here. The closest residential areas are Wanchai and Mid Levels.

 Transport

Admiralty is a transport hub, with the tram, two MTR lines and several public bus and light bus services across Hong Kong.

 Shopping

Pacific Place offers a range of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Other centres include the United Centre, Admiralty Centre, and Queensway Plaza.

 Medical

There are doctorsĄŻ practices within both Wanchai and Midlevels. The nearest hospital is the Canossa on Old Peak Road in Midlevels, and the nearest government hospital is the Queen Mary in Pokfulam.

 Education

Being close to Midlevels, there are three English Schools Foundation schools (ESF) in the area: Bradbury Junior School, Glenealy Junior School and Island Senior School. These follow the UK curriculum. There are also English and Chinese kindergartens, including Montessori. The Jewish School, French International School, Sear Rogers International School are also found in this area. All areas in the Mid-levels are covered by school buses.

 Recreation

Apart from shopping within Pacific Place, there is also a UA cinema complex and a choice of several restaurants. Hong Kong Park offers a peaceful respite from the city and a chance to see the wedding parties posing for photos at the Registry Office in the park.
